Young Artists Competition

The Northland Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce our 2026 Young Artist Competition! This competition represents one of the Northland Symphony’s oldest traditions and core principles – providing performing opportunities for student musicians in our area.

1st Place Prize

$1,000 and performance with the NSO in 2026-27 season

About

Currently, this competition is open to 9th, 10th, & 11th grade students (in the 2025-26 school year) from Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties in Missouri, as well as any student participating in one of our Youth Ensembles. Auditions will take place Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO.

Registration fee: $30.
