Northland Symphony Youth Orchestra
The Northland Symphony Youth Orchestra is an auditioned ensemble for students up to twelfth grade.
Members play advanced repertoire in a full orchestra setting. Our ensemble provides opportunities to perform with peers from throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. Our students are more prepared for their post-high school ensemble experiences.
It’s about making great music while having fun.

Registration for the 2026-27 season has concluded. If you would like to inquire about remaining openings, please email youth@northlandsymphony.org.
You must be enrolled in your school’s orchestra or band if offered. You must not reach your 19th birthday before September 1 in the year the season begins.
Rehearsals are from 3:00-4:30pm on Sundays at William Jewell College, generally August through April.
We present three concerts each season between August and May.
Tuition for the NYO is $350 per season.
If a household has more than one student participating, the members will receive a $50 discount.
Scholarship assistance is available for those who qualify. Additional information will be available at the time of auditions.
